Advice on fuel economy, haybox cookery etc. Simple recipes with special value placed on vegetables, and fish rather than meat. (Included is a recipe for Keswick Lemon Pudding which is exactly the same as Sussex Pond Pudding but without the butter which, of course, was a luxury ingredient during the war.
